Official Record Contacts

The Heard County Sheriff's Office and jail are the starting point for current local custody, booking sheets, jail records, bond processing, inmate mail, visitation, and sheriff open-records requests.

Choose the route that fits the record you need.

• For someone in the county jail, start with jail inmate records and the jail phone line.
• For booking photos, use the jail roster mugshots page and the sheriff open-records form.
• For charges filed after booking, use court records after a jail arrest and the court clerk path.
• For the local detention facility, use the Heard County Jail page listed in the footer.
• For a sentenced Georgia prisoner, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender locator.

Court and Prosecutor Contacts

After an arrest becomes a filed court case, the court record is not the same thing as the jail booking record. Use the clerk for filed case records and the district attorney office for prosecution process questions.
